Our favourite Mini Cucumber! The Cucamelon, Mini Cucumber, Mouse Melon or Mexican Sour Gherkin is a fantastic addition to any veggie patch or large pot! It’s tasty fruit are amazing while young, tasting just like mini cucumbers! Crunchy, juicy and sweet! Or if your a gherkin lover (and let’s admit not all of us are!) leave the fruit to grow to maturity and they will taste similar to a pickled gherkin when picked ripe and fresh. These plants are very easy to grow. And provide a bountiful harvest! Loving a sunny spot, they will grow and fruit from spring to the start of winter. Unlike traditional cucumbers which die off in Autumn, Cucamelon will go dormant in the depths of winter. But don’t pull it out! Cut it back hard! It will burst back into growth in early spring and and provide a bountiful harvest year after year! A must have in any garden or veggie patch! 

These plants are climbers and will need a support. We use 3 garden stakes in a pot or in the garden and grow them like a Tpee. Alternatively give them a wall or fence to climb. 

Our plants are currently available in 140mm pots and are a great size.
