Greyia sutherlandii South African Bottlebrush

Greyia sutherlandii South African Bottlebrush Is a fantastic rare and unusual shrub or small tree. It produces beautiful vibrant bright red flowers with protruding stamens offset against beautiful green foliage. The plant flowers profusely from the end of winter, spring and into summer. The flowers are loved by birds, bees and butterflies alike and resemble our native bottle brush…only much larger! A South African plant, it thrives in our clime here. Tolerating mild frosts and our Sydney summers. It makes a fantastic ornamental plant specimen in the garden. If pruned it can be kept 1-2m. If left be it will grow into a small deciduous tree reaching 3-7m.
A real stunner and well worth growing in a pot on the patio or in the garden.  And can actually be grown successfully as an indoor plant next to a window with some direct sunlight.

We have beautiful specimens of this rare and unusual plant in 140mm pots. Have you got space for one of these stunners?
